Hey guys i'm an unusual commodore owner and lover...my vp series 2 motor is in a 89 4runner body...but to me its the heart that counts....was running beautifull but had alot of trouble lately after changing,plugs,leads,coil,computer stil running bad...at the moment i'm evan second guessing my lead placement...could somewon tell methe exact order for leads to motor....my next step is a goood scanning..lol...thankyou for your time...

Hey mate,

This is the VR-VS forum, but Im sure it will be the same for your VP. If you are standing at the front of the car, looking at the engine, the dfi module from left to right goes 6,3,2,5,4,1. The spark plug numbers, on the left. The closest plug is 2, the middle is 4 and the most farther back is 6. On the right, 1 is the closest, 3 is the middle and 5 is at the back.

Hope that helps. Placing the leads incorrectly can damage your engine, so make sure they are right. Try to replace only one at a time, take the old of and install the new, so to avoid mixing them up.
