The later models are have that little bit more power.

I've been a passanger in and driven a VT 2 Senator... And dude....... They have all the grunt you need to go from 0 to demeret points VERY quickly

Edit: It was a little tricked up... but nothing major... Exhaust and a few little things under the bonnet.

    But wait... There's more!!

    But that's not all!!!

    355 senator? They made those?

The LS1 in any car withe a few thousand spent on tune and exhaust will slaughter most 5 litres.

You can see unopened LS1's into low 12's very easily.

No idea, i'd say around 14 mark, maybe higher, stock they are heaver and only have 255 kw or so.

    A tune(around $900) a good zorst(around $1500-$3000) depending on quality will see low 13's.

    HSV Claims
    13.9 6spd manual
    14.2 4spd auto
For 255kw VT Clubsport, should be pretty close to senator figures.

Senators have always been auto only. They're based on the Calais. Which is? Auto only.

Can i ask, why do you want a senator?

Why not go a calais or even SS? Loads of zorsted/tuned/lowered/tinted VY's going for the 26-30 mark

i have thought about getting a calias or ss but i like the fact its a hsv and the body kits they come out with. Whereas if i get a calias i would either have to get lookalike hsv body kit or aftermarket body kit and either way its still just a calias or a ss with add ons its not a hsv(no ofense to all calias owners or ss i own a vs calias myself they are awesome cars) and this is exactly where i found my dilema because i own a smick vs 2 tone black/silver calias ecotec and like all of us we want more power so i looked at all the options of transplants e.g sv6/5ltr/stroker/ls1/capa ect and then when i spoke to alot of people they said dont waste your time doing a v8 transplant just buy a car that has already got one in it from the factory(good logic) so i figure if im going to spend my hard earned then i might aswell do it right the first time round and get what i realy want wich is a hsv!

I'd be going for a VY Calais with an LS1 for that kind of cash. VS Senator is a nice car but rather dated.

I see theres a '96 VS HSV senator in Panther Mica with only 52,000kms on the OD for the asking price of $15,999. It's located in Victoria and has been listed in the 'carpoint' website for ages. I'm curious to know what peoples experience is with the resale of HSV's as I've been watching the same HSV's sit on car websites for what seems like forever.
Car theives should be treated just like horse theives and cattle rustlers in the days of the wild west... Hang them!

I stand corrected. Was available in manual up until VYII but apparently rare. VE Senators are auto only.
