    Default Intercooler piping

I thought i would put this in the general section so hopefully more people will see it.
i have a vn v6 turbo. i am putting a front mount intercooler on it and i was wondering what size people think i should use. the cooler has 3 inch inlet and outlets. the turbo comp outlet is 2 inch so i thought i would use 2 inch pipe from the turbo to the cooler then use a reducer to for the intercooler from 3 inch to 2 inch. then from the other sie of the cooler i was going to go 3 inch all the way to the throttle body..
if i can not get 2 inch madrel bend pipe and can only get press bent pipe. does anyone think i should get 2.25 from the turbo to the cooler.
or do people think that is too small and i should just go 3 inch all the way. i would have thought it would be a bit much volume of air to fill up.
and also will 3 inch from the cooler to the throttle body be too much.
at the moment it isn't intercooler and has 3 inch pipe 95% of the way through and there is no trouble. and bugga all lag.
let me know what you all think... any advice will be good....

I think 3 inch pipe all the way... reducer at the turbo end this way you'll keep the flow resistance down and the slightly larger pipe will have a benefit in aiding cooling a little.

I could be wrong but I would assume that bigger wouldn't always be better. You have to remember that using a larger pipe would allow for the air speed to drop possibly creating a poor flow.

If you use a good quality cooler the internals are designed so that you dont reduce pressure while keeping your volume up. I agree that 3" would be better. It also depends on what boost you are running, it may pay to up the boost by 1 or 2 psi.
