Chrome tip - cleaning

Hey guys, I have a twin tip on my VT. And it gets dirty very quickly from the black fumes/petrol..

What is the best way to clean chrome to keep it like new?

just wipe it with a wet rag..... then buff dry with another rag.... works a treat

Clean it often, like once or twice a week or the corrosive elements of the exhaust will bugger the chrome and no amount of cleaning will help.
