just an estimate, how much do you think a mechanic would charge to swap diffs over? my standard single is stuffed, and im getting a lsd, for v6 vr. cheers

hopefully pretty reasonably up in the bay..i got quoted up in the bay by the BP mechanic $80 to fix a leaking fuel tank on a VN

I've recently moved to Brisbane and the best i can get is two hundred..haha what a joke.

It's not a huge job, could be done in a few hours in ya shed. A lot easier if ya got a pit or a hoist. I've seen one changed in under an hour as well with 2 people going full stick at it.

well average labour rates is $80 an hour, i did mine in about 90 minutes on my shed floor at home cos it couldn't get it down to work on the hoist.
so id say 2 hours to remove your old one and fit the new one.
