Can anyone give me any imformation on getting my Commodore (when I buy it) transported back to Adelaide from Melbourne. Is it an excercise which will turn into one big head .... or is it relatively easy. Any idea on costs? Cheers![]()
Easy - fly up with some mates, and road trip back!!
JetSpin Racing Team Mantre:
"F**k safety, I'm in a hurry"
Towwed is expensive, for the local area around here they charge $3.40 per km but they might charge one flat fee for your distance.
If the car runs, l'd agree with jetspin, fly or drive up with mates, and CRUIZE back!!!

If its possible do the drive, it would be cheaper if you've got the time for it - Just organise a day of registration if its not registered.
As for transport. well its costing me 500 to get a car from Newcastle to Brisbane. Another 250 to get it the remaining 800 or whatever km's to Rocky.

Best price I could get for Melbourne to Brisbane was $800 door to door, $300 is an absolute bargain Scummy.![]()
Depot to Depot is a way of making it a little cheaper if your willing to arrange the rest ie. Seller drops it off for you and you pick it up from the local depot of the frieght company. For Melbourne to Adelaide I'd try Car Movers in Melbourne, they'll usually compete with any other quotes and from experience are very prompt and reliable.
As for the drama factor, if you can afford it frieght is the easiest way to go when buying a car from interstate. While driving is fun an unknown vehicle isn't the best choice for any road trip.
Have you looked at the vehicle in person? I've been bitten that way, don't believe everything a seller claims.
Either way, G'luck with it
Jake.

im pretty sure you can put it on the train, that would be cheaper then tow truck any way.
Yeah you guys may still be able to put it on the train, Q-Rail up here don't want to know us unless we're a business these days.
