Thanks..... and now for windows....
Drivers side window is very hard to wind up or down
Front Left side window almost impossible
Back left widow is half up and refuses to move
Back right window hard to wind
After fiddling with BL window it is obvious the winder mechanism is broken.. but after my dad tried to pull it all apart.. he said he thought only a mechanic could fix it..... what do i do now?
Start by removing both left and right door trims so you can completly see the mechanism...post if you need help... then compare the 2 while trying to wind and see whats casuing it to snag.

Hi, thanks for your quick reply
and here goes for a list.. please be understanding as i dont know the technical names for a lot of things
The bonnet is out of alignment and does not shut flush on the left hand side
Because of above, the corner of bonnet has cracked the windscreen
The stereo/tape deck has been removed and put back in and now it doesnt work...even the clock
the plate that goes underneath the thingy that holds the bonnet up is missing but i have found the screws..yeah!
interior light doesnt go on
air conditioning only works on full setting and is VERY loud
the aerial is missing
the clips that hold both sun visors on are broken
panel under the steering wheel keeps coming off
right windscreen wiper is broken
drivers side door sometimes doesnt lock
broken left wing mirror
broken right headlight cover
sticky fuel guage
car very quickly overheats when started and stopped a few times
seat adjuster knob missing on front left seat
bumper coming lose on right side
I have fixed a few things.... so the list isnt as long as it used to be...... lol
yikes!!!
As you dont sound to mechaniacll inclined, i suggest a panel beaters to correct the alignemnt
You need to reenter you PIN code for you head unit. If you ring you holden dealership they can provide you witht he number and it will work again. Its a securty code protection system.
Im sorry but i have no idea what your talking about with this one!
Is the globe ok? Fuse (drop pannel under steering coloumb) ok? does the dome switch turn it on?
Air con only usually works on 2 or above... not sure about a/c sorry!
You need a new one! Auto barn or supre cheap have replacments. It requirs you to take the passenger side wheel off. Not hard but dedious.
You will need new ones also. They smply screw off with a phillips head screw driver. Wreckers are your best bet.
Ensure the surclips (plastic things with a think gruve on them) are in and secure. They turn to tighten. Also insure it is hinged at both the left and right corners.
Which part? Wiper Blade?, arm?, motor?
Central locking im guessing? Its an actuator problem. Check it by takin off the door trim an locking and unlocking it a few times. It may just be snagged or its dying.... a wrecks will sort you out a new one!
which part? replacements are about 10-20bucks depending on elec vs. manual from a wreckers. Not hard to replace.
New one needed, see wreckers.
hahahaha welcome to commodores! common fault, can be fixed by re-soldering the dry solder joints but unless you want to pay someone to do it, its not a DIY for the uneducated.
Is your thermo fan working? Like at idel at about halfway, does a fan kick in? Get a service and compression test done to ensure you dont have a blown head gasket. A blocked thermostat, poor coolant or coolant blockage can also cause these issues.
Wreckers, $5
The bumber has 4 bolts and two guide clips. The panel has come unlciped or the clips have broken... get the panel beater to do it when he does your bonnet.

I tell you one thing - go and tell your neighbor to get it fixed if they caused all this probs on your car. You should not have to go all this yourself. Unless it caused you.
Bonnet into screen is the inge is bent. They get rusty and jam up. Will need a newy.
White 05 V6 VZ Executive - Thrashed Ex Telstra car

Never tell your problems to anyone...20% don't care and the other 80% are glad you have them.

With that much damage done to it by your neighbours I would go and park it in their lounge room! Then they can assess and repair the damage!!
Hmmmm exactly what do you do with a neighbour who blithely hands you your keys and says.......... oh your cars f###ed and walks off???
I too have a broken windscreen caused by bonnet hinge.
What kind of neighbours are they, they break they fix simple.
didnt you say anything to them, didnt they say anything to you when you got your car back? like sorry?
First of all, tell your neighbour that you have found many problems with the car that did not exist before your gave them a lend of your car. Take them around the car and point out the problems. Tell them that you let them use your car on the expectation that the car would have been returned in the condition you left it. Since you have been a good neighbour to them, you shouldn't have to deal with these problems.
There is no harm in bringing these issues up with your neighbour. There is a high chance that they will deny that they did anything wrong, but there is also a chance they might face up to it. If it was me, I would take it to them and demand that they fix the problems and if they didn't....well....lets just say I would make their life difficult.
I see you're from Dalby this explains a lot. There is a stack of cheap wreckers in Toowoomba get a lift in with your list that Azk made for you or call around and get prices. VN's are common around those parts so parts shouldn't be that hard to track down. Grab a "gregories" from supercheap for $40 and it will tell you how to replace lots of stuff with pictures. Whatever you cannot do get done by a mechanic you can trust. If you're neighbours a dropkick don't even bother hitting them up for the money because it could be more trouble than it's worth.
Hindsights a wonderful thing but my dad gave me good advice when I was young. "Never lend anyone your car or your missus".
<davy> remember when braveheart came out and everyone said you can't have mel gibson playing a scottish guy cuz it wont be realistic?
<davy> well look at him now
<davy> an alcoholic racist
hows it all going, is the list getting smaller?
