    Default Remove strong glue?

Hi guys, im in the middle of taken my door moulds off. And on one of the strips it looks like the previous owner has used some sort of strong super glue to stick it back on?

Im wondering how to remove strong glue like this? thanks

I take it you are talking about the moulding down the outside of the door (as opposed to the moulding around the edge to seal the door)? I think I read somewhere that the factory glue is extremely strong and it's bloody hard to remove the moulding without taking some of the paint with it But if you have already got the moulding off and are just left with dobs of glue the only way to get them off would be with solvents I'd say.Whilst Acetone (nail polish remover) and lacquer thinners would shift it you would have to be extremely carefull not to melt/soften and damage the paint behind it,maybe just start with a bit of alcohol (Meths) or if you can get it,methanol.Might take a few applications just to soften the glue up but would eventually shift it.Perhaps you could also try some of that Bars bug and tar remover stuff, that has a light solvent in it.Then perhaps get the last little bits off with a cutting paste? Say Meguiars #4 heavy cut compound.
Hopefully this may help or somebody will have a better way? which ever way good luck with it.
