Any details on when exactly the Commodore SS will be coming to the states?

Anyone know if they are going to have to relocate the gas tank like they did on the Monaro? Am I posting this on the right forum?

The G8 is going to be built on the same platform so you're not getting a Commodore. It will be totally different.
I've read that it's not expected until at least 2008, probably longer.. here's some pics http://www.worldcarfans.com/spyphoto...-grand-prix-g8
Probably not, because with the original Commodore / Monaro they were built as to comply only with local ADRs (Australian Design Regulations), but I believe the VE and anything else they make from now on with the intention of exporting will be made to already apply those regulations about fuel tank position to save cost moving things around maybe? Safer either way!
They won't need to relocate the fuel (gas) tank as was the case with the Monaro, it is located forward of the rear axle.
Thanks for all the input.![]()
What do ya'll think of the New Ford Interceptor?

it looks kinda Chrysler 300c like
Any idea if the intakes on the hood will be functional Ram-Air?

haha functional and General Motors dont really go together, especially in relaion to bonnets. So I would say no.

Chicago Auto Show. Make sure you watch the video. I am disappointed that the brown leather inserts won't be an option (I thought they rocked).![]()

Didnt the G8 get the car of the show in Chicago? Thats what work told us. Thats pretty impressive if it did.
Hardly car of the show...... most significant new introduction is what they called it.

Still........ If the yanks say that about it then hopefully people will straight away perceive it as a good car
And the Pontiac G8 will be mid $20k bracket, where as the GTO was in the $30k bracket.. talking US dollars.. Should make it a good seller.
Right now GM is saying the G8 GT will be in the low $30K US. If they keep those numbers it will be a hit in the US.
