Since I've had the passenger sill panel replaced I've had a big problem with wet carpet on the front passenger floor everytime it's left sitting in the rain, gets washed, or driving in the rain. Its not just some water on top of the carpet either. It's soaked under the layer of rubber that sits on the floor pan. I've pulled the carpet up a few times to find where it's coming from with no luck. Though it might be coming from a leak under the windscreen but there's no water trails. Same with the A/C overflow but it's not wet near the pipe. Only a circular damp patch in the center. Anyone else had a similar problem? I'va attached a photo with the carpet pulled up.

Plastic sheet on door lining perhaps? Was a problem on mine and water came in whenever washed hi pressure or a downpour.

Even in our sleep we happen to be right.

Just an update... It's been raining this arvo and tonight so I left the car out of the garage> Went and inspected it tonight and noticed there was water running down under the dash on the passenger side closest to the door. To be more specific it's coming from the panel that has the air vent that connects to the door when the door is closed and water runs down the front egde of the kick panel and then under the carpet (does that make sense?)
So what do you think? Possibly the windscreen seal? Obviously it's not the A/C overflow or heater core because it's too high and also happens when the car has been sitting. Is there somewhere in the firewall I should be looking for or under the plasting plenum under the windscreen?

yeah that sounds like windscreen seal. my vp gts used to do the same thing mate and then i replace the windscreen and the guy siliconed the hell out of it and presto .... no more dramas...
Thanks VNCRUZR, The other day I tried all sorts of things like pouring a watering can full of water around the aerial and nothing. Poured water all over the base of the windscreen still nothing. Poured water down the front passenger pillar and still nothing. Then poured water on the seal at the top of the passenger side of the windscreen and water stared flowing down the passenger kick panel and making a pool on the carpet.
