Thinking of buying an 2002/2003 commodore, how many Km's on the clock should I make my max limit? Somewhere around 100-110?
Paddy

the general rule of thumb i use is about 25,000km a year. obviously this is an average, but you can get an idea of whether the car's km's are above or below 'average'.

Cheers guys, the ones I'm looking at ar all around 100-105, was just wondering if that was too high to consider buying?
Using the the 25,000 per year rule puts them all below average.
Thats defiantly not too high. You should have at least 100,000-150,000km of trouble free running ontop of the cars 100,000.

Nice, thought they would start giving trouble a bit earlier than that.
This is one of the ones I'm after, got 105Km on it

Just look really hard before you make a final desicion, just found this one.

thanks for the link however I'm after a VY ;-)
Would you think it was dodgy if a car (at a dealers yard) had been out of rego since Aug-06?
So long as it has a current road worthy certificate, its not really a big problem that its out of rego accept for the fact that it will cost you a bit more to get the car on the road.

Dealer said he would look after that and put 6 months rego on it, just thought it was weird that it had been sitting there for so long.
Nah you should be able to one with well under 100,000 k's. My VY had 64,000 on it when I bought it in November.
*EDIT* It is an 03 model.
yeh it shouldnt be to hard to find one with under 100,000 k's
Thanks guys, just got a Berlina with 90,000k's Thought it was worth sacrificing a few k's for the better model![]()
Congrats, how much did you pay? 90,000km aint bad anyway!

Thanks![]()
Paid $16,750 but it is absolutely spotless inside and out and has been serviced at holden. Bought it from a holden dealer so it has a 3 year warranty as well.

Awesome, very nice car. I don't understand why people buy new Hyundai's when you can get a car like that berlina for the same price, with a 3 year warenty!

Cheers mate, yeah no Hyundai for me, I'm really happy with it. Not picking it up until friday so pretty excited.
Could have probably got it a bit cheaper on a private sale but the 3 year warranty from holden is a good deal.

nice berlina man i like that colour, seems a good deal too with a 3year warranty!
6,800K's per year is a pretty good average!
I was actually looking for an acclaim but when I found this I just couldn't resist it![]()
Looks good nice buy all the best with it.
