As I'm rebuilding my car, I'm gonna give it another respray, but this time a decent one. I was gonna go red again (was thinkin of Monza red, coz its only $100 for 4 litres of acrylic haha)...and I wanted my motor the same colour as the car, but a red motor will make it look to much like a 'red' motor, so I decided to do it yellow.

But I'm thinkin bout maybe a 2k blue, possibly pacific blue or sumfin similar.....I painted bits of my motor in the VHT engine enamel, but as it doesn't come in many colours, I'm just wondering if 2k paint is heat proof? I heard from somewhere that it was but not sure.

Anyone know if it is?

If it is, would I just have to take all the bits back to metal again then paint in 2k? Or do I need primer or anythin?
