any tyre shop should be able to fix a puncture, did you try another shop? as i suspect they were trying to get you to buy a new tyre

depends where on the tyre it is. u shouldn't repair a punctured tyre if its on or near the sidewall. these can still be repaired sometimes, but don't always last very long.

If it's toward the middle of the tyre, you should be able to get it fixed no worries. I had a punctured RE92 fixed by Beaurepairs 20,000ks ago (fat screw through the middle), and still no problems or pressure loss.

If they say it can't be repaired then generally they are telling the truth. It doesn't pay to lie to people as word gets around and pretty soon your out of a job.
