I've cut some stainless steel pipes and bends together to create a pathway from my turbo to the intercooler and also the intake sides of things.
Instead of buying a welder and learning to weld myself i thought it would be easier and cheaper to just take it to someone and pay them to weld it together.
My question is, where can i take it around the western suburbs of melbourne to someone who can TIG, also how much roughly will i be looking at? thanks.
find a engineering workshop that is doing nightshift take it in there and ask the superviser or one of the welders and it depends on how much work it is on how much they will want, if u live where i do and came to my work i would probly do it for a couple of cartons, but it shouldn't cost u to much.

I reckon tig would be a better way of welding it. The pipe is likely thinwall and fairly difficult to weld succesfully with stick without major blowouts. Ring a few performance shops and suss out what they do.
being a Qualifered Welder myself, it'll prob cost a fair bit, pending on how big the pipe is n how much of it needs to be welded!! if ya haven't done it yet, bring it to Bendigo n ill do it for a 6 pack of rum cans!!!
