As the VE has just been released they are selling it and saying it has a european feel and some of the features are european as well.
I just wanna know why the hell do we wanna be european aren't we aussies and where is the aussie look to it just wanna here your thoughts bout it
because most european cars are looked upon as being luxurious and expensive, so theyre saying its got expensive european features and feel, but for a cheaper price
As with all things Australian, they are styled on overseas trends. Europe being the trendy multicultural society it is, it is very good marketing to refer to a product as 'very European'. Just like adverts for electronic equipment, how many asians do you see? Europe has one of the highest environmental and safety standards in the world, so if it is European styled then it is 'safe and green'. Like a PS3....a Japanese person is playing it so it must be techonogical.
When They say "European", they specifically mean Mercedes S class I think. only cheap. And not as good. And not European.
(S class is the flash one with all the toys isn't it?)
A computer lets you make more mistakes faster than any other invention in human history, with the possible exception of handguns and tequila.
then the car is is more suited for exports
The Mad Dutchman
Because European cars are built better and look better and go better and feel better than Australian cars. Holden's have always been criticized for poor build quality, where are European cars generally have good build quality. So it makes sense to advertise a car as being more European.

I guess you could think of it this way. Generally speaking most people that are buying a VE would be in their early 30's who a reasonably financially ok. Even those everyday mums and dads that are in their late 30's and up. Generally those people would enjoy the 'European' styling (looks more Audi A4 than anything), reputation and status. On the other hand those in their teens and mid to late 20's enjoy the simplicity and 'Aussie style/status' of a loud and lumpy VB - VS. How many real estate agents or bankers would you see driving a ol' VK. Then again how many people that enjoy getting fiddly and tinkering with DIY maintenance would you see with a VE? As I said, generally speaking. My favourite shape is the VS. This is my second one. They're not that difficult to work on yourself, even for a home mechanic like me. I'd love an old VL calais or even a HSV VP but my wife won't let me. I think they look great and symbolise 'the true Aussie car' but she thinks they look too white trash. Then again I'd like an XE fairmont with a 351![]()
Car theives should be treated just like horse theives and cattle rustlers in the days of the wild west... Hang them!
Don't be stupid. Power isn't measured by the size of your tacho
They certainly know a thing or two about building rather nice engines...BMW naturally aspirated 6 cylinder M3 engine stonks out about 250kw and about 365 nm of torque out of only 3.2ltrs and will willingly rev to 8000rpm.
