hey everyone just wondering who everyone is insured with....coz im guna need to look at sumwhere else coz i just found out that mine wont cover me coz im 18 driving a car wid mods.....

i rang AAMI today and they shut me down as soon as i said i had mods on my car....the then put me through to just car who said they'd insure me for $1570...lol for full compo. and i then asked about third party and they said $450 but they would only pay out $5000 of my car....lol so wats the point of that.

any help would be appreciated hey

Just car is more or less the only place that'll insure an 18 y.o with mods/v8/turbo. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Yer just car is the only place i could insure my stock VX SS. at $2900 p/a i might add

and only place that said if i get an engineers certificate will cover it with twin turbz. for an estimated extra $1000 a year :S

Most insurers have an online quote feature. Try ING. Their insurance is run by CGU but cheaper than going directly through CGU. At least for me anyways.

I just got my new contract with my broker, $568.64 for full comp with an insurance value of 35k. Try and beat that for a car with mods like mine

I made contact with the broker through my old job, no idea what they normally pay, but they do help low risk drivers who like performance cars.

have to agree with brokes being the best way to go..

I'm 21 at the moment - but at the time I got my insurance through AON (Broker) through work I was 20.

I paid 750 full comprehensive for a VX S II with 5k worth of mods and with an accident under the belt as well

when i was dealing with a broker, they couldnt find anyone that would insure me ... im insured with NRMA, $1200 for full comp and $500 excess. Add another $400 excess if your under 21?

just cars was going to be $3800 for me
