Question:
I currently am running stock 17" 235 45 5 spokes on my sv6 lowerd lovells 1.5inch. Im planning on buying 19s this weekend how high is it going to alter my ride height? Obviously diameter has changed, how does that increase relate to the actual height?
Cheers
Highendrev
if im right your actual car hight would go up about half a inch, 12.5mm
as the total difrence in rims with tyres is ruffly 1 inch diamiter, so half that would be 12mm or soo
if ive worked it out right,

Your rim diameter will change (obviously) but your overall rolling radius won't necessarily change because you'll fit lower profile tyres as well. There may be a slight difference in rolling radius, depending on the profile of the tyres fitted.
So the answer is - no change to ride height at all.
19s- 245/30? if so, tyre profile is 73.5mm. so 73.5 x 2 = 147mm. 19inch is 475mm so add 147 to that and you get total hight off 622mm
17s-235/45 tyre profile height 105mm . so 105 x 2 = 210mm. 17inch is 425mm so add 210 to that and you get total hieght of 635mm
so i was wrong before it would lower your car 6mm. thats if im right

It will be a 35 profile, not a 30 profile. Nobody makes a 245/30, if he wants a 30 profile he will have to go to a 255.
Not really, cause unless u can get 235/(30, maybe even 25)/19s then they're always going to be bigger than 235/45/17s
When I went from a 235/40/18 to a 235/35/19 it lifted my car just marginally.
Also 1991_Vn2nV I haven't found any 30 profile 19's that are smaller then around a 285.
Selling FG G6E Turbo and buying a N/A Supra
Hankook etc. make them in skinnier than a 285. Only problem is they are expensive and are generally a soft compound tyre so wont last long. Cheapest i've found for a 30 profile in 19" is $390 which were Hankook 255's. I think Full Run make a cheaper 255/30 but havent been to a store that sells them since i've been looking.
