Trip to Melbourne

Thinking of taking a trip to Melbourne in May and was wondering if there was any places worth visiting, apart from the normal tourist stuff, like Holden head office etc?

calder park drags every friday night, from 5 or 6 pm. thats well worth a look.

Great Ocean rd....nothing beats this drive

Apollo bay is a nice place to stay (hey the rhymes! ), but if its just a day trip Lorne has more shops/people (also, go to a fish and chip place called "The Salty Dog" Great fish n chips!! )

Ermm... yeah, check out the casino... I suppose Take a drive down to sorrento/ portsea... Ummm, if you were coming down here some time this month theres plenty of ferrari shows n stuff like that

And if you're in for a drive, try heading out along to Maroondah highway to the Black Spur. Good times.

Yeh, Great Ocean Road is a great drive, you may want to pop down to Philip Island as well if you haven't been and go to the museum at the track, don't know what's in there nowadays as haven't been for ages..

HSV runs factory tours at various stages, don't know if theres any coming up and Lindsay Fox's car collection is open for viewing most week days but you need something like 20 people to go on the tour, theres Dutton's in Richmond that has some nice cars and Perkins Engineering allows visitors some access

Philip Island is a good day trip . Especially at night when the penguins come out to stare at all the Japanese tourists ha ha
