    Angry Someone Oiled My Car!!

    Hey guys, not happy...

Someone has decided to pour a huge amount of motor oil over my car, its EVERYWHERE! ... My door seals are rooted, and boot seals, window seals. Everything is f**cked.. Any idea's on cleaning? Does any particular chemical get rid of it?

Why ruin someones car like that? I'm sick of people these days, this is the second time my car has been badly vandalized in about a month! Last time someone kicked off both mirrors, aerial and kicked a big ol' dent in the rear quarter... Sorry for the long rant, but I'm pretty f**kin' agro...

I don't think anyone hates me enough to do that, although there were reports of other cars damaged in the area... So I'm guessing it was just a bunch of f**knuts trying to be cool.... I'll found out who it is one day and won't be responsible for my actions lol

Sorry double post... Would you suggest going to a quick wash type place with the high pressure hoses? Would that be enough to clean it ya reckon?

That sucks man! Ppl are pricks if they have a problem dont take it out on the car!
Juss consider urself lucky its not brake fluid tho.... Brake fluid corrodes the metal underneith the paint making it pretty much imposs. to repaint it, and the paint is pretty fkd also (obviously).

Just get a detergent based grease remover, sollution of hot to warm water and that will do it, or wax and grease remover, anything non solvent based should be ok for the paint, oh and nothing abrasive :P.

High pressure and soap is good, but you cant beat the hot soapy/degreaser mix with a sponge and some elbow grease, then high pressure the lot off.

Too bad man thats a mongrel of a thing, I know how you feel about F wits, a few months after I bought my car some twit keyed the roof one deep line about two inches long all the way back to bare metal.

My paint has a red pearl through it, so theyv'e F&*(@CKd it.

You could try a couple of buckets with hot water and dawn dishwashing liquid and a few sponges. Make the water really hot so you'll need some dishwashing gloves. You'll need to do this to get in all the tight bits like windos sills and boot channel. Doing this will strip any kind of wax that you had on the car if any so when you're done you should give it a good polish and maybe two very light coats of wax. It's gonna be a lot of work but it should be ok.

So where abouts do you live anyways?
Car theives should be treated just like horse theives and cattle rustlers in the days of the wild west... Hang them!

    Default Thats Gotta suck!!

Sorry to hear of the bad luck. Definately not degreaser on paint!! Use any good quality dishwashing Liquid!! It's designed to cut through Grease and grime without effecting coloures and paints on plates etc. Another good one is CT-18 Truck wash!! Gets anything off!! I would just try the soap on and rinse off a few times before I started rubbing or washing. hot water is a good idea if possible. Good luck with it mate.

Hey guys, I've given it a really good clean, but when I came out to have a look this morning it had all leaked out of the plastic strips on the side of the car and more had leaked out of the seals... This is becoming alot more of a pain that first expected...

I re-cleaned it so hopefully no more will leak out again.

    This is BS.

But thinking about it someone must be cranky with you! Not many people walk around with a container of engine oil in case they decide to throw it over some strangers car!
