can anyone tell me what is the rubber flap thing that hangs from the back of some cars i have been told that its to help prevent car sick ness if this is true how does it work

I think it's to release any electrical current that may build up on the vehicle on to the ground. You know how sometimes you get a zap when you close your door? I think it's to get rid of that.

Yup, it's a good'ol fashioned earth strap to release static electricity.
