Maybe petrol and a tooth brush then sand with fine wetndry and finally polish with a good metal polish. thats if you wanted to go that far but it would look very nice.

Yea thats cheap, the only prob i can see is brake fluid and paint dont mix so if you spill any at a latter stage there goes the silver paint. if you polish it i will only need a quick polish once a month to keep it looking good and it wont take long as its quite small. all the best with it sean.

If any petrol/thinners ends up on the rubbers it will stuff them. Just use soapy water & a nailbrush.

Yep, as above. Brake fluid is water soluble so it just comes off with water and some elbow grease. If it's the outside that is dirty use degreaser. I wouldn't paint it as brake fluid is a pretty good paint stripper and a drop here and there unless washed off immediately will strip the paint.

well im not to keen on the polishing idea, personally its not my taste and if i do that ill have to polish other parts to even it out.

its not to bad just though ill try and get it spotless, make it a little bit cleaner and just the thought i can while its not in.
ill get a pic up in 20minutes to show how its looking now
