hey guys i got a vs ute, auto and was wondering how much -
1. it would be to get it changed to a manual, with a decent clutch
2. how much a lsd diff is?
and revcently i went to install a new head unit, the old one worked fine, cyhanged all the cables over to the correct spots then it wouldnt work, io went to auto barn and they said it has no constant power to the head unit, the yellow cable, the one that holds all ur memory settings like ur radio channels etc, anyway to bypass that>? or to find another constant source of power to connect it to?
any hel;p appreciated guys, cheers
peace
You don't need to hook up the yellow wire, only if you wanted to keep it's memory. If it doesn't have one just power it up from the accessory feed like the old one was. Should be a red or a white wire. ( on the unit that is )
too hard and expensive for a transmission conversion
nmot worth it
yea i got the plug for the bak of the head unit and theres meant to be another plug on the leads fomr the car but some **** cjhopped it off who had it b4 me, so i just hooked up all the opnes that were done in the previous head unit and yea it wont work, no power at all, none to my amp or anything
\
and yea the guy at auto barn just said that there is no power to the yellow, and as not an abba fan just said i disconnected the yellow wires complety and still had no power . . .
its really killing me gonna cost like 90- bucks from autobarn to get them to fix it unless i can figure it out
cheeers
manual is worth it if you keep breaking auto's. (like I do) Budget about 3k
