Default Cheap shift firm-up for auto

    Hey guys

I just got off the phone with an auto transmission specialist after asking a price to install a shift kit. He said don't bother... for $110 he will do somethign or other with the valve body (?) and that'll firm the shifts up nicely.

Now I need the trans pan gasket replaced cause its leaking, so would it be worth getting this guy to do this mucking about thing or does it sound dodgy??

if you dont already have one... ask him to put in a corvette servo in aswell, shouldnt cost much more then 50 bucks and firms up the shift fairly nicely too, i put one in mine to stop the box from slipping and it worked a treat

Apparently the Corvette servos don't do anything special to the VS trans. As for the valve body what he would be doing is altering the pressure to the solenoids so it shifts firmer. I don't know the effect this would have to the rest of the trans though.
