Looking for info on a guy who rebuilds commodore autos. Anyone heard about him, standard of work? He is in the Lilydayle area of VIC.

Any info would be great?

Thats why most people in Melbourne get their boxes done at RVO.

People please realise this, you get what you pay for on so many levels.

Just one thing, if you don't know where he is or his number, why the hell did you buy rebuilt box from him?

Brother inlaw bought the box from him.
I wanted to call the fella to have a chat regarding the box, and could not get a hold of my brother inlaw for the weekend, but i found his number.

25 years experience, after sale support, and 12 month warranty dont meant much sometimes huh.

When I do get to the bottom of this, I will be relaying facts to the forums, and a warning to potential customers if I feel it is needed. If it goes the other way, and the current errors are looked after, then ill make a positive recommendation.

Word of mouth is a MASSIVE thing in car circles. Get good service and you are bound to tell a few friends, get great service you may be willing to tell and recommend heaps in the future, get horrible/false service and even more will find out.

Mate I hope it all goes well - provide facts without getting too personal and people will get the information on whether they should go there or not

So just let me get this clear.

If (and Im still at the IF stage.. awaiting a reply at this stage) I have a bad experience with a supplier, is it against the just commodores terms and conditions to speak about it, or share my experience with other members?

I could provide more details on the story and the supplied unit so far if that will help everyone’s understanding.

As far as I know, a public forum is open to information, experience and member recommendations, am I wrong?

It is a public forum, however, the owner of the forum can have legal action taken against him for defamation etc. Would you want people posting on your board if you could be sued for it? Hence why we are very careful.

I agree with Minux, its kind of a shame you cant do it, but thats the way things are.

Im sorry you had a bad experience with this Auto bloke.

I'm fairly sure for anything to be considered Defamation you must lower our current belief in that person.

E.G

If You told me he was scum and I allready knew that and could prove that I allready knew that, it is not defamation, BUT to an entire forums of people across well the world really, probably 99% of us don't know this person.

You could write your story, without naming names.

People could PM you if they wanted to know the name of the company.
