Respray prices

Hey i was just wondering if anyone has had any resprays done and what sort of price range is good. ive got a vy II storm and due to an incident where my car was bottled, i need to get the bonnet resprayed. the guy at the shop said i should also get the front guards and the front bar done aswell due to stone chips. it was $350 for the bonnet and guards, and the front bar was $300. its a phantom mettalic black and that was a cash price.

anyone know what is a good price or works in the industry or know any good spray shops in brisbane/ gold coast.

The price you got is actually pretty good. I'd say it won't be much cheaper than that. Also beware the quality of work so look around and see their work on other cars.

Thats very cheap mate. Normally 200 a panel is about right (so guards and bonnet would be 600). 150 per panel is considered cheap and that would still be 450 so at 350 thats a VERY good price imo.

not bad prices where andwot is that shop called might have to go get some priced my self, i need a respray but the whole cas would need doin as the whole front an roof needs too be done plus the bak quter panel so yeh,

but as said look for the quality or workmanship. not coverd by insurance?

Don't know where you are, but my car always goes to SmashCare at Brendale. I have been reversed into, and run up the back of and have gone through them each time. Quality of the jobs is top notch, and they don't make you wait for ages like some other shops.

Quotes aren't cheap, but you really do get what you pay for with paint

Im getting my whole car resprayed for around 5-7 hundred.

IF I DO MY OWN PREP WORK, not including taping up, Deconamination (K&H wax and grease remover) or Tac ragging.

However this is through a mates mate, who used to spray paint for 15 years restoring show cars and such.

He sprayed my mates ute and its perfect.

It really shows, its who you know, if your in vic Melbourne I can ASK if he will do your bonnet on the same day I get my car done, save some cash on the booth and oven hire, Although I will be doing mine ina bout a month if you can wait?

There are a number of places around that will paint your entire car for $300-$400 if you do all the prep work... But you'll have to tape it up etc. with those deals as well. Prep work is not easy.

I used to be a painter, Prep work is my second nature.

Plus I dont have to do the taping up and this guy rocks.
