ive been looking on ebay and they have a sweet collection of mags cheap, and i was wondering what is the biggest size i can put on a vp commodore without them scrubbing the wheel wells or needing a camber kit. cause theres lots of 17's and 18's on there for like 600$ a set of 4 which is cheap.
Check out your local roads authority website for guidelines as to what you can fit to your car. I had 17's on my GTS (IRS) which didn't foul anything.

Is your car IRS? If so you'll have alot of problems finding rims on Ebay I think because the offset is different.
But other than that it depends on your tyre profile, width, how low your car is etc.
Remember that you also need tyres, and you can find 18's for $600 in most tyre and rim places such as Bob Janes, Tyrepower etc if you only want the rim.
really? i thought they were like 1g for rims. i idk about rubber cause i can get that later, i pretty sure my car isn't irs. if i do get 18's what sort of rubber do i need? will i need a camber kit? the cars on new king springs(std) , the last owner got new springs and shock absorbers all round before i bought it. but i'm probably gonna lower it an inch or so.
have a look under the back end of your car and u will soon be able to tell if its irs ....

yea if its just a solid diff ull get away with buying an udjustble panhard rod and if u roll the guards u wont have any troubles fitting at least 19sx8s on it![]()

off the topic of suspension for a second, lol back to wheels, i was looking at ebay sellers and was VERY SUSS, i dont know, my only concern was structural, I got a little paranoid, i did a little bit of research, if you're into your car enthusiasm, more then likely you've heard of autosalon .. who the **** hasnt? anyway my point => on the back cover of just about EVERY autosalon magazine, TempeTyres is blasted on the back cover, their website is http://www.tempetyres.com.au i recomend scrolling down the left side of their page to "Wheel Wizard" - Select your car, Select the size you're after e.g. 17", 18", 19", 20", 21" etc. etc. and it throws out their entire range thats suited for your stud pattern, and offsets. They deliver interstate, a mate of mine recieved his wheels the VERY NEXT DAY! and if delivering interstate the wheels come balanced and fitted in the boxhandy, all you have to do is take your old ones off and slap the new ones on
tadah!!!
take a look, there are some VERY NICE rims on their site, and it wont cost you an arm and a leg either! (piece of mind with warranty aswell)
