in the vl range a nitron was a special edition from HDT, not quite sure about vn and vps but the vls are worth a pritty penny

They were a VP. I can't be assed getting my reference material from HSV so ill post what I can remember.
They are all Exec based series II VP's. All were V6's, auto, ABS and IRS. They came in Marenellor red or Canterbury blue with asteroid silver lowers (think calais). Had basic HSV body kit taken from the clubby bar the rear spoiler (LS). They used the VP SS rims and the calais steering wheel.
Ill post all the rest later.

If that's the case there must of been a Holden Nitron, as the only HSV one is the VP.

Its a mock up. Now that I have looked at the car on ebay I can confirm it because of the following:
*Lower half should be silver
*Side protection moulds are removed and replaced with a single pinstripe
*Chrome HSV badge under the passenger tail light is not there
*Has the clubby rear spoiler, when it should be the small lip one form a LS
*Has the clubby grill when its ment to have the Senator one
*Wheels are ment to be VP SS

The VL Nitron from what i have read was just a stock SL with parts supplied by HDT to Melbourne dealers as a special edition thing.
About 112 made, although not numbered by HDT so more like a HBD mock up.
The VP however seems to be a HSV item but are supposed to be all V6 similar to the SV 3800 VN's.
I seriously doubt that the one on ebay is genuine though.

lol, well, I gave this guy some grief. Posted him a message saying that what he is selling is only a mock-up, and I think that he should let the customers thinking of purchasing the vehicle know the score. He sent back a message telling me that it is real, just check with holden. I quoted all the stuff Airstrike wrote, told again that it is indeed a mockup. Never heard from him again.
