hey guys, im just wondering if anyone knows a general guide to figuring out the power at the wheels, from the flywheel figure. I know there is no exact way of telling, but a few people on here seemed to have a figure at the wheels whenever a flywheel figure is quoted.
sorry if this has already been covered by the way
Have a read of this. http://www.pumaracing.co.uk/POWER3.htm
Gives a good explanation.
cool thanks
You can never on a car get an accurate rwkw reading from what your fwkw are. Even on dynoes the figures are close but arent accurate, the best way to work it out is by doing a 1/4 run and measuring it out this way.

As a GENERAL RULE OF THUMB kW at flywheel is HP at wheels, eg my ute, 185 kW fly is 185HP at wheels, but its only a very rough guide!
