Finally got around to doing the blue led dash conversion this morning. $40.00 and 4 hours of drama after drama it's finished and it works, yay!! I followed the thread in the vt-vx section, big help, although the vt is somewhat different with polarity on some areas. Mode switch, a/c controls and cluster are now blue instead of green. Don't have any pics as yet as it is still daylight, but from what i could see it looks pretty cool. Any questions from vt owners regarding it i may be able to help. Gotta say it is not a job i would reccomend to someone with little or no experience in electrical/electronics.
cheers.

<davy> well look at him now

Sweet can't wait to see it. That strut brace is now officially only available for collection after dark!![]()
Sorry about the pics, used the mobile and it makes it look real shoddy. The hotspots don't exist when you are looking at it and the brightness really is quite evenly spread. Looks great at night, just have to remember to watch the road and not the pretty blue dash, lol. Also, now i have a mode switch light, yay, that never worked.
cheers guys.
I have to do that with mine some day
man that looks MAD!!love it!
I tried to do this with mine recently... and found that it cant be done with the climate control module!!
the buttons are made of clear acrylic, then a layer of green, then the text layer... so its IMPOSSIBLE to remove the green without removing the text!!

SO this should be the same on my VT exe with the green lights? I always thought you couldnt do it because of the green but if you say it works then i feel a project comming on!! Dont spose you could list the parts you used and where to get them? Cheers.

Here is the link to an informative post regarding this conversion.
Blue LED Dash Conversion
This explains everything pretty well, the type of led's and resistors to use.
Any questions regarding the job, feel free to ask as it is not terribly easy. Especially getting the led's in the correct spot and filing the tops of the led domes so the light spreads more evenly. Its all in the link.
cheers.
