Is work at Holden Service Centers covered by a warranty even if it is on a car that is no longer covered by factory warrenty. Im asking because my new brake master Cylinder installed in July last year is not working properly and never has, unfortunately I only found out on thursday after a mechanic drove the car.

find your receipt, take it in and tell them. master cylinder should have a 12 month warranty and holden should fix it if it never worked from when they put it in.

I talked to the dealer at the workshop earlier today and it is not covered as it was done as part of a pre sale service, and unfortunately I don’t have a receipt as technically I didn’t pay for it. Oh well ive booked it in at the local mechanic on Monday, he will replace it for $380 and throw in a service for free. With something a crucial as the brakes id rather not take any chances.
