best bet is to go to the wrekers...or talk to one of the guys on here that are wrecking their car then get the shell off them.. saves them having to organise it

VT executive is 1504kgs, well mine is... i was told at the RTA, apparantly the first batch from series 1 was heavier because of a metal bonnet and other things that holden changed?? can anyone confirm this?

more info needed on your model.

I know changing from my S1 VT to a S2 VY made a huge difference in weight, my S1 VT wagon weighed 1800kgs stock. :-(

What would the XU6 weigh roughly? With the supercharger, full body kit etc.?

Dunno. 1650kg MINIMUM though I would think. It will weigh considerably more than a Calais as HSV's always do. Larger wheels and tyres, bodykit, interior... Should add a fair few pounds on top of the Calais weight.

The reason I 'd like to see it weighed, it to see how much weight is added by modifications, stereos etc. And then compare it to the stock weight of an XU6.

Is the weight noted on the rego sticker, just from a database they have of all car weights, or do they actually weigh them? I have no idea as we never had the weight noted on rego stickers in Tassie.

Is there a difference in weight between the Series I and the Series II? Ours is sorta half and half. It's right on the change over period between the two.

But I think it's classed as Series I.

The other models had a 39kg difference (V6 sedan series 1 to 2 and V6 wagon series 1 to 2) so I guess the series 1 XU6 would be an extra 39kg as well? Due to the weight of the bonnet etc. that made the series 1 cars heavier.
