It depends, i would use say a 30amp instead of a 25amp if i had no 25amps, but no way would u put a 30amp inplace of say a 5amp fuse.

Im not sure but i wouldnt let much more amps thru then what is specified.

I used to blow my cooling system fuse, it was a 15amp i think by my dodgy memory, i just kept stepping up a rating until it stopped blowin, but that was coz i was too tight to go to the auto elec n get a new relay for it. 30amp stoped it blowin.

Sumone else will definatly know, but i wouldnt go puttin too big of fuse in there.

Brian: Great idea bringing Stewie to Fenway park Peter.
Peter: Yeah there's no better place for a father and son to really get to know each other then a ball game.
Brian: Ah where is Stewie?
(Cut to Stewie sweating and stuck in the car in the parking lot with all the windows up)
Woman: Is that a baby in there?!
Man: Oh My God... He's gonna miss the ball game.

Generally no. The rating specified is there for a reason, normally to protect what is operating on the circuits in question. Ie, If you keep blowing fuses, putting a higher amperage one in there is only masking the real problem.

Worse case you can burn your car to the ground by fitting a higher rated fuse than what is specified. The current draw is what blows the fuse because it is too high, if you match a fuse to the current then whatever is drawing that current is getting too hot and can set fire to surrounding items if they are combustible.
