Tomorrow doesn't look good either.
God must love stupid people, He made so many.
I like it - being a PC nerd
pass, my car doesn't have enough spare RAM to warrant it.
That’s pretty cool; I wish I had a manual

Uber-cool. I need one, albeit for an auto....
dam i have to get me a manual for that thing.
while it does look very cool, i'm not sure if it would actually work on a Commodore, plus who has the time to look at what gear they're in?
Most manual drivers just know![]()
oh ****, you sound like every other "im a manual driving power head, no time for those mofo electrics"
No one ahs time to look at it, its not a guage, it isnt needed, but nether are neon lights, repainted door trims and re trimmed coulsouns. HOT TIP! Its an asthetic enhancement!
And it cant see anyreason why it wouldnt work, ive read the instruciton manual fully and it seems fine to wor, i just need to find a distributor!
P.S. Im a 'manual driver' and although i could dirve my car blindfolded and still know where the gears are... i still want it....
aZk.
you could get it to work on an auto, but at the risk of wrecking ur new gear knob, to adapt for the locking mech, the bit u lift upwould work fine.. its almost like a shift light i guess, but it knows what gear ur in..
but agreed, i like it, dont know if i'd be looking at it to know when to shift in my autobut damn it looks good!
Does anyone know how it actually detects what gear you are in.. is it a sensor or do you have to proram it for each gear position.just wondering as some cars have 6th gear where reverse is in others so it is not going to be as simple as just sticking it in your car.
It is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt...
im glad yoy asked!
The knob has several different 'things' it can have displayed on the screen, 1-9, N, R, -, and a few other useless things.
when you first get the unit, you have to install a box whihc sits on your transmison tunnel. Using sensors the box and the knob co-operate to figure out where the position is.
You runa 'learning' program which programs in the ocoation and the respective gear it should display. So this unit will fit 3,4,5,6,7,8,,9 speeds and only display the right gear.
On start up, there is sequence of shifts you can prefrom(1 shif 4, then 1 shift 4 again) which will initiate the learning mode.
Awsome peiece of technology...pity i dont own it

That is sweet! I want one too!
