hey Guys,
Just changed the water pump in my VS V8 and when i started it it went straight to about 4000rpm, i reckon i have prob bumped something when i changed the pump.
I cant see anything obvious but i wonder if it is something underneath the plate on the front with the lion imprinted on it as in the pic.

Any assistance would be much appreciated

You may have hooked up the accelerator cable on something holding the throttle open, or pulled a vacuum line off.

Thank You, do ya know how to get that cover off, i undid a wingnut under there but it still doesnt wanna come off ?

You might have to loosen up the injector rail covers because they sit on top of the front cover.
