    Default Bubbling Paint

Ok after washing the car today I noticed a couple of blotches of the paint bubbling on the rear quarter panel near the fuel cap. They pretty much popped up over night cause I wash my car once a week (My entire driveway is covered with trees where possums live, its not fun). Anyway my question is, is there anyway to fix this, or will it require a repsray?

If it's bubbling, then it's rust. You either need to cut/weld or cut/bog. If it's only in the one area, it won't need a full car respray, just he area where it is.

not true.. my paint was slightly bubbled on my rear quarter on my old VK and when i picked the bubbles off it was just the paint.
mine was under the fuel cap too so it probably has something to do with moisture getting under the paint

it could be number things, one of which Matty88 said, which was rust. Although the rust is more likely to be found along the front and rear windscreen, and the lower part of the door.

Another reason is a poor paint job (if paint isn't standard) and is usually the result of poor prep work.

But I'd me mored inclined to go with the theory that VK-308 said. It's most likely got to do with moisture (petrol) getting in somehow under the paint. If left unattended, it could very well turn into rust over a period of time.
