ok, so theres a fair bit of interest in these things, lots of people seem to want one.

ive got a mate in the us, who can get them from junkyards, they will be in reasonable condition, none broken, etc.

he still has to find out a price though. now, if we buy in bulk, hes hoping they will drop the price a bit.

now, what i need from everyone, is who wants one and what are they willing to pay?


prices in poll are a rough guestimate, ive got no idea what theyre going to cost yet.

i dont particularly care if you think theyre ugly, a waste of money, etc, thats not what this thread is for, its to tell me if you want to buy one

thes things can be painted like the ecotec engine covers, so dont think of them as boring because of the grey plastic, i'll get some pics of hozys up sometime, when i find them.

also, im not sure how these things mount, from memory, they had a round clip for clipping over series 1 fuel rails, but hozys was a s2 and it didnt fit.

you will most likely have to make it fit yourself if it doesnt.

not sure on timeframes yet, ill most likely be getting the money before buying them, as i cant afford to buy them straight up and sell, as i dont have the cash to do that. we're looking at either 4-10 day postage, or 4-6 weeks postage, depending on how many we get and what its gonna cost. prices to send stuff from america to aus arent the best.

sorry was just reading the first post again and is says it may not fit to the series 2 engines, so hozy how did you fit yours when you had it, i thought you just have to use the fuel rail screws to fit it

u can see in one of the pics, theres clips to fit on the s1 rails, but yeh, hozy will have to explain what he did for his

yeah man its $30 US i think it was about 36 or 37 AUD dollars they haven't given me details on how long postage will be but i think its about 10-14 days

mate, im not entirely sure what the price is going to be yet, the prices above are to get a feel of what people want to pay. dont know if postage will be included, as i dont know what postage will cost.

we're going to work out what its gonna cost to buy 10 from a junk yard and send them to me in one hit, then me send them out to everyone. just waiting back on a price from the local junkyard boss on a bulk price.

im trying to work out getting these for the best price i can, without short changing myself or my mate on postage and such.

ok, my mates got some prices, and if we're lucky, we can get em done for $30 to my door, then $5-10(depending on where you are and what it costs me to send and express or regular postage) to send them to each person as its cheaper to send them in a bulk amount from usa.

so, i need a minimum of 10 people, max of 15-20 that are willing to pay upfront and wait upto around 6 weeks to get them after paying.

the junkyards have given him a few different prices, and if he doesnt get screwed around on those prices, we can use fast shipping and get it that bit faster.

let me know guys, the quicker you decide, the less chance of the junkyards changing their mind on prices.
