Indicator problems?

HEy guys, tonight I discoverd that when I had put my indicator on that it wasnt making that "tick tick" noise but the arrow on the cluster was still blinking. I than looked in my mirror to see my indicators not flashing but they were on(just like a brake light) but not blinking.

Any help would be appreciated as im sure this could cause some problems on the road.

Sounds like blinker relay. One of those little black boxes down next to the fuses on the fuse panel
