    Default Modifying VU's?

    Hi all,
Recently I have been interested in modifying VU's things such as supercharger, however my friend has a VU and she is adamant that VU V6 engines cannot be tampered with or modifyed because the computer cannot be modifyed. Is this true? Apparently, the only way to modify VU's is to downgrade the computer to VT V6 sedan computer which would cost around $1800. Also, she told me that exhaust systems don't increase power, the larger the exaust the more compression you loose which means you loose power, is this true also? I originally thought exhaust's decreased back pressure; increasing waste flow out which increased performance.
    Thanks!

Depends on what size exhuast. The general size that pretty much all the people here go for are about 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 inch, they are absolutly fine.

As for the ecu question, i dont have any idea sorry. Hopefully someone with a VU will reply.

you can get a aftermarket computer ... she is feeding you wrong information... A correct sized exhaust will increase the cars flow and will do it a hell of a lot more good then bad.
