    Default Brake Disc Machining

    Hey Guys,
There was a bloke that drives around in a van doing brake machining, I just rang a bloke out of the Yellowpages and to my fright wanted $125, last time I had the VN done I seem to recall it costing around the $30 - $40 mark.

Anyone that services the eastern suburbs in Adelaide would be great.

    Thanks

    Cheers
    Darren

Big tip - if you have 20 minutes up your sleeve take the rotors off yourself and take them into a brake place. I was quoted over $170 drive in drive out for two rear rotors machined - I took them off myself and walked in to a busy place and they charged me $22 per rotor with no booking

I wrote a guide in the how-to section on removing them if it helps

I'm out at Magill or Kent Town, they are off a VY (front stockies)

I reckon I may as well get them off myself, I've been meaning to check the pads so whilst the rotors are off it might be a good time.

As for the how-to I'll be sure to take a look

Piece of piss Darren.. Ring any mechanic and tell them you've taken them off yourself and ask them if they do it for $30 cash.

The fact that you've taken them off yourself signals to the mechanic that you're not stupid. Most mechanics will just say yes..
