I'm asking this on behalf of one of the guys at work, he needs to have a few things attended to on his VS commodore, and he is after a reputable mechanic or shop in the South Morang area or near by.

His automatic trans is leaking oil from the cooler lines, which look as though they need to be replaced, and the trans needs a full flush and service too, as the fluid is almost the colour of engine oil.

The other problem is that it seems to be loosing coolant, he has to top up the reservoir every week or so, I had a look in it and it was bone dry with a layer of clay on the bottom, and also had a look in the radiator to find it also had no water visible, until we put about 500mL into it, and again, the colour was clay like, so the cooling system needs checking out, as well as full flush. If anyone has any ideas on the problems or suggestions for a mechanic, please let me know.
