Fan Belt Noise

Hi...i didn't know where else to post this so if i was wrong in my decision im sorry in advance... any way...my brother has a HZ premier and when he starts the car and revs it, the fan belt sounds like an animal dying! and i have no idea how to fix it...i read somewhere maybe wd40 on the something? but i thought i should ask first! if you could help please, thanks

I would suggest a new belt and adjust it correctly. It's usually a loose or worn belt. If the V section where it contacts the pulley is all shiny and the inside flat section is cracked or perished, replace it.

WD will make it worse, buy a new belt and enjoy.

While the belt is off clean all pulleys with thinners then give en a rub with some sandpaper or wet & dry to remove the mirror shine.
