do base model utes have provision in the wiring for cruise to be added? without modification?
Its not what you know or who you know , its how well you can fake it
well seems as no-one was able to answer my question.. i bought cruise.. it plugs straight in ( as the loom is already there in the wiring ) , but should it turn on when the car is stopped and idling? or do i have to be driving to test if it works?

got the underbonnet unit , and have installed the stalk on the column , guess i'll go for a drive today and see what happens

factory cruise control will "enable" at a standstill when you push "cruise on/off" on the stalk, but will not SET (i.e. hold speed) unless you are doing over 40kmh
* Phreddy's Blaupunkt Aux input and line out mod
* 18x8 inch Equus Kalibur Wheels with Maxxis MAV-1 235/40R18
* Sureflo 3.5 inch medium-loud cat back exhaust
heya garth... well i got it working today.
I got a series 2 stalk , and underbonnet unit , also a few relay thingys that go under the dash , the switch for the brake pedal , and a sports dash with the right lights on it... all plugged in and went for a rive.. everything worked , speed up , speed down.. auto turn off on application of brake pedal ( fit fine.. drop a hair on the pedal and it turns off ).
now to fit the LSD , and fix the air con.. then its paint time
