Spare parts places don't have set prices, they have recommended prices/markups. If they like you, they may reduce it, but they can also mark it up if they think you're a chump.

Ringing the same dealer on different days may yield different results for those reasons. Most major car places work on a system like that for parts.

Why don't you just ring your local Holden dealer, say "Parts please" and quickly state all the parts and ask for prices. Try to sound like you think a mechanic would. Ie. don't say "umm the crank angle thingy for a 98 Commodore". Ask for a "Crank angle sensor for a VT6" and you may get better prices.

You'll also be off the phone faster and they'd be happier.

Try be self sufficient. It's good. It means you won't have to post on JC saying you're out of toilet paper and want urgent advice on what to do.

Bump........ :whistling

LOL:bow::bow::bow:,

thanks for the reply but,

1. I know i can pick up the phone and ring my local holden dealer but it would be quicker for me to drive there.

2. i know i say "parts please" when the receptionist at the front counter say"s "welcome to .............. this is cindy how may i help you"

3.that why i asked "roughly" what the price was so i didnt get charged double for no reason, or because i said "could you tell me how much them things are on the exhaust thingy"

lol just joking but before i go, ive ran out of milk WTF do i do???:D

thanks man:thumbsup:

1. Not sure
2. Around $35
