1996 vs equipe wagon

Hi everyone,

great site I'm Glad to be a member , I have a question which no one seems to be able to answer . When i start my wagon i drive for 15seconds and then the car loses all power as if the automatic transmission isnt their , someone told me that it could be the didtal chip going into a fail safe mode , does anyone know anything about this and where the chip is found and can i simply pull it out and put another in , i am in desperate help as i am supposed to be going to adelide in 2 week's for brother in law's birth of 1st child
could someone help me please , also i am an ex-senoir sheriff so if anyone has any questions about fines and so-fourth please let me know..

how are you mate, could be many things, seems more like a fuel related issue? does the car stall, it could be the fuel pump, the fuel pressure regulator, could be just as simple as your fuel filter, or it could be your ecu, ur ecu is located on the passenger side of the car (front) under the glovebox towards the passenger door, remove the kick panel and its under there, the chip or memcal wont be your problem, it may be the whole ecu which is plug and play just remove and replace but i myself doubt it will be the ecu.

That was happening to one of my mates cars and it was the fuel filter and the fuel lines, he must of got a bad tank of fuel. It went away after he changed the filter and used some aditive stuff to clean the lines out
