Default VT front air vent removal

Hi fellas, um just here for a bit of help.
Very quickly about me, I own a 94 Liberty RS and am part of a relevant forum/club.
The reason I am here is my neighbors VT was vandilised last night, kids threw rocks through her rear window, which has been replaced but alas, one of them took out the drivers side front air vent (centre above stereo).
Can these be removed without the entire removal of dash surround and can a new one be popped in.
Also, would anyone have any of these lying around for sale?
I came here in help as she is a solo mother and I would like to help her, my Liberty club forum has a bunch of great guys who can advise on such happenings. I hope your forum is as helpful?
Yes, I tried your search function but could not find relevant info.
    Any help greatly appreciated
    Regards
    Dan

P.s. Previous rides were an 84 VH and a 1990 VN manual exec with work, my baby drowned in flood water.

    Sorry, I misunderstand.
    What am I advertising?
I only want to know how much of a job it is to replace the airvents on this model.
I dont want to break anything on her car, but if they pop straight in/out, then i'll grab one from the wreckers and do it for her.
Save her the hassle of paying some bunch of pr***s $100 to do it for her.
If I have to remove the dash cover and access them from behind then what is involved?
I remember on my VN you normally had to always remove 15 panels before you could remove the one you wanted.

    Ok fair enough.
Surely someone out there has done this at least once?
Cripes, on my forum you can get freindly advice in a few hours, s**t I could have already tried to fix it, broken the dash surround, bought a whole new one from the wreckers and replaced it 3 times over.
Is this one of those non useful advice forums or something?

Mate don't be rude, you've come in here and expected an answer. Your attitude isn't going to find you one.
I'm not sure what "freindly" advice is but if you ask the right question here you will always get friendly advice.

For starters you would have been better off posting in the VT section, the audience you are looking for hangs around there.
If you don't get an answer, consider the option that no one has done that job! It doesn't mean that this forum is useless, or the people aren't willing to help, it means that either no one knows or people are busy.

Rome wasn't built in a day, but if you hadn't bitched and moaned you'd have had it built "3 times over" by now....

in answer to your question dansun, yes the dash face does need removing to be able to change the air vents above the stereo.
Below you will find a link that explains how to do this, with pictures. Its pretty easy once you know how. One thing to tell you, in that link it shows the sunnies compartment and the OP wasnt sure if it needs removing, I can tell you that both that section and the cd player both need to come out, or you're gonna break something.

Once you get the dash face off, you can remove 3 screws that hold the air vent assembly in place, then it will come away from the dash face, and you can then swap em over for your neighbour.

Not sure if you've sorted it out by now, but hope this helps.
