    Default 3.08's - 3.45's, noticable difference?

just wondering who has gone from 3.08 ratio to 3.45, and did you notice a decent improvement in feel of power and acceleration? does it pull alot harder? are you glad you done it?

Goin from 3.08 to 3.36 in my VH wasn't much of an increase, it was slightly noticable, same as when I went from 3.36 to 3.45, maybe slightly. And in PEAKN6 we went from 3.08 to 3.36, slight different.

So yeah, it should be slightly noticable....don't expect a big improvement.

put it this way if i were to magicaly clone my car, identical to what it is now, but fit 3.45's to the clone, how far ahead would the clone be, 1, 2, or more car lengths.

gotta be a couple of car lengths i'd say. unfortunatly my 3.45 gears came with an newly reco'd LSD (shoulda just fitted a minispool, it's about the same) and before i had a chance to test it i also fitted a new 2.5" zorst. before mods it was doing a 16 flat 1/4 mile. with those 3 mods it's dropped to a 15.2 still on stock 195/70/14's so as you can imagine even with the LSD traction is still a huge issue at the mo. i can definitly notice the difference with the acceleration

    I went from 3:08 - 3:45 - 3:37

The initial change was noticeable, and highly worth it for the cost. I then changed complete diffs and went with 3:73s, and still get pretty decent top end speed.

Also to note, i still get over 600k's to a tank with 3:73s, so don't be too worried about that weedo

Anyone know what rpm I would be doing at 100, going from 3.08 to 3.79?

The car is a 5litre 5 speed that does about 2000rpm in 5th.

    Thanks alot.
