Got a few questions for those who know anything about Gas.
1. The gas system on the white EA ( the one going on the road ) has expired ( about a week ago ), now the gold EA ( donor ) has a gas system thats only 2 years old, we were planning on putting all the gas gear ( including tank ) on the white one BUT some mates of mine told me that even though the gas system is only 2 years old it will still need to be re-checked because its going on another car, so will it?
2. If the Gas system need to be re-checked how much will it cost ( roughly )
3. Because the gold EA's tank still has around a quarter of a tank of gas left, will it need to be professionaly installed? ( got told by another mate that it would be )
4. if it need to be professionally installed how much would that cost? ( once again roughly )
EDIT: if i was to get it profesionally installed, would i be eligble for the gov grant?

you can't break open a high pressure line unless you're properly trained to work on gas systems. there's a good reason why too.
the conversion would need to be plated anyway for it to be considered roadworthy.
I have seen them fitted a few times if the tank is in date wich is every 10 years it will be fine. when installing into another car have the tap at the gas tank turned off and connect everything but the main line then take it to a certified installer and have them finish it off and certify it for you works out a lot cheaper they usually charge between $150 and $300 to do so
where are you located, im a qualified lpg mechanic and can do the conversion for you. let me know and i can give you a quote on doing it also.
just send me a pm
