    Default Cannons

On my last car I had a straight through system, extractors, then a small cannon on the back. The cannon quietened it down a bit, but was still to loud to be legal.

I just saw some cheap 'twin' cannons (yes I know wat ur thinkin ), which has a 2.5" inlet, then goes into 2 pipes into the 2 cannons next to each other. There not huge ones, just 4" overall diamater with a 3" tip....I'm wondering if the 2 cannons would make it even quieter?

The way I see it, half the exhaust gasses would go through one cannon, and the other half through the other, so overall it would be even quieter hey coz each cannon only has half the gasses to 'muffle'?

yer i reckon your right. i did a similar thing to you b4 i got a 2.5" system, i had a 2" system on it when i got it and i took the 2 mufflers off it and put a small black cannon at the back...best it ever sounded but too loud even for me...and couldn't get used to a cannon on an old commodore

will you have enough room for 2 cannons, dunno bout wagons but don't think ya will with a sedan between the fuel tank and spare wheel budge.

    Might go measure it up.

I know 99% of the people will hate the idea, but I got a soft spot for small cannons. It's either them or gonna get a single cannon with a 4" dumpa on the end.

If I could afford an expensive exhaust trust me I'd get one....at the moment I just need sumfin cheap, good flowing, and will keep the sound level legal.

But by the time it's ready for an exhaust I might be able to afford a better one. A local exhaust shop quoted about $350-$400 for a new 2.25" from the extractors back, which includes a high flow muffler.

To be honest when I first saw a pic of the twin cannons I didn't really like them, but it grew on me (even tho I know how much people hate them), and as it's different (I've only seen one car in my town with twin cannons) I thought I might give it a go. I figured I could cut out a section in the bumper to suit the twin tips sticking out, and have the cannons hidden behind the bumper.

I change my mind a lot, so by the time I need the exhaust I might have gotten over the twin cannon idea haha.

Your not running a performance engine, so why must it be good flowing?
The only good cannon setup on a commo is twin ones tucked right back centered shotgun style Which of course is pointless on a 6.

If you can't afford something half decent, just stick with the standard exhaust. I know I would, if I didn't have any money. Why waste your money on products, that you even said you are going to change soon, look gay and sound even gayer.

i may be quieter but it will drone like hell, and your zorst will still be illegal because they don't test it at idle. look at it this way.

save the money you would spend on the cannon's and put it toward your proper one.

it may cost you 10 or 20 for the cannons but then you have to get a pipe made up to fit them and then fit them.

you might be looking at $100 just there.

"Cannon muffler" = Hotdog in disguise.

Fags just like to say cannon instead of hotdog.
