engine management light will come on and stay on.

You will recieve an error code 43

also your timing will be slighty retarted to avoid anydamage.The ecu does this when it senses knock sensor fail.

if the engine doesn't realise the knock sensor has failed, and your engine is running OK and doesn't knock, it will have no effect i'd say.
