Buying advice
Hi Guys, have joined the forum today & am really impressed by the whole site. A credit to all concerned.
If you guys had $8000 to spend on a buying a commodore, what would you be looking for (km's, series, etc)? My main reason for buying is, apart from loving Holdens, I am needing a tow vehicle for my vb speedway car. I have heard that VT's tend to sag at the back under heavy load. VX's look a little out of my price range which has left me looking at VT's. I would like something newer than a VS but with only $8000 my options may be limited.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hey Mate welcome to JC
Firstly do you want a V6 NA, V6 S/C or a V8, though if you want something newer than a VS or probably looking for a VT NA V6 right ??
Also you could probably get a VT V6 with about 80 000 - 160 000 for $8000, or you could save a little more, say another 2k, so you could get a V6 S/C. though its totally up 2 u, alos some states are priced high than others. In WA ive seen some VT SS V8 for about 10k, and heaps of V6 for about 8000 - 10 000.

Thanks for your replies & advice HoldenMan7,
Just not sure what you mean by NA & S/C. Here's what I've got my eye on at the moment. Used cars Australia - New cars Australia - CARSguide
Saw it at the car yard yesterday & it looked pretty tidy. It's now down to $7995. I did read too that it's a buyers market at the moment with VT's as there's so many for sale. By the way, thanks for the link in the other post. Pity there's no picture.

If you want something little quicker then the VS is good. VT and VS have the same V6 motor (Ecotec). VS being a bit lighter too.

Hey Mate no probs
NA )naturally aspirated) is just non supercharger non turbo, and S/C, is supercharged V6, yeah theres heaps of VT/X, around, personally i would wait and find a nice VX, due to them looking better etc, and its a newer car, though its up to you, you should be able to find a VX with low k's for about $8000- $10000, just dont buy the first car you see, cause there is always going to be a better one around the corner
